Hidden gem on Molokai showcases the people, rich history that shaped the ‘Friendly Island’
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Nora Espaniola steps aside as she opens the door to a center that’s one of the newest additions to Kaunakakai.
“Hi. Aloha! Welcome to the Molokai History Project. Why don’t you come right in,” Espaniola said.
Located on the ground floor of a two-story green building, the project is a hidden gem. The room holds a rich and diverse collection of artifacts, antiques, books, photographs, and oddities that tell the story of old Molokai.
But don’t call the Molokai History Project a museum — at least not yet.
